Tomay notun korey pabo bole harai khoney khon (Only to find you ever renew, I keep losing you time and again)/O mor bhalobasar dhan  (Oo my precious treasure of love)/ Dekha debe boley tumi hou je odorshon (You become Unseen, only to show Your Glorious Self)/O mor bhalobasar dhan (O precious Love of mine)

Rezwana Choudhury Bannya sings, her voice carrying the wrench of playful mysteries of the God who plays hide and seek from the devotee. And suddenly Rabindranath Tagore's lines, which he wrote on a Falgun  night at Santiniketan in 1915, come heartrendingly alive at Bangla Academy's Poet Shamsur Rahman Seminar Room where Anyaprakash organized a publication ceremony marking the launch of 'Notun Kore Pabo Bole' on Wednesday, January 3, 2017.

'Notun Kore Pabo Bole' is the fifteenth poetry collection of poet Maruful Islam. In this book, each of his poem is a meticulous arrangement of Tagore songs or poem around an unique theme. The poet has brought about the magnificence of love, patriotism and humanity in the book. Maruful Islam's word and subject choices reflect his poetic vision.

The content of this book is comprehensive. Most of the poems are lyrical. Each poem is inspired and concluded with Tagorian verses. Tagore's songs and poems resonate Maruful as well as his poetry. The book can work as a key to unlock the door to reality and realization. These poems have the potential to transport the reader to certain states of heart which otherwise would be impossible to reach in such short period of time.

The book, published from the country's leading publishing house Anyaprakash, was unveiled by the renowned experts of the country's art and literary genre. Emirates Professor Dr Anisuzzaman presided over the program while Poet Habibullah Sirajee, Fiction writer Moinul Ahsan Saber, Professor Golam Mustafa, Tushar Roy along with others discussed on the book.

Emeritus professor Anisuzzaman said that the strength of Poet Maruful Islam's poem is its own language. Love, nature, life, contemplation, history, war of liberation, the deep secrets of the heart -- have shaped his poetry. Notun Kore Pabo Bole is inspired by many poets and lyricists from Kanho-pa to Shah Abdul Karim. I think Saiji and Notun Kore Pabo Bole will be recognized as the best works of Maruf" he adds.

Tushar Das said, "Maruful Islam has reached his poetic peak through Notun Kore Pabo Bole. But I'd like to say is Maruf needs an Ezra Pound for his poetry."

Notun Kore Pabo Bole is associated with rhythm in the mood of strong expression. Baul Lalon is behid Saiji, in very similar terms, poet Rabindranath Tagore is behind Notun Kore Pabo Bole. It can be said, this is an unknown treasure to explore and a new experience in Bengali poetry.
