This year only a team will face relegation from the ongoing Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) to Bangladesh Championship League (BCL).
Only one round is remaining of the league and two of the bottom liners, Farashganj Sporting Club and Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society, are at certain risk of relegation right now.
Among the two, Farashganj will play their last match today (Thursday) at 3:30pm against Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club while another Old Dhaka team Rahmatganj will play the finisher against newbie team Saif Sporting Club on Saturday at 3:30pm at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in Dhaka.
Playing 21 matches, Rahmatganj have 15 points and Farashganj have 14 points in their collection.
Another bottomliners Muktijoddha Sangsad Krira Sangha have 17 points in their collection and with that they are in a secure position.
In the meantime, defending champions Dhaka Abahani have secured the title for the second consecutive time. On the other hand, the Dhanmondi boys also secured the runners-up title with one round remaining to play. With that, the actual zeal of the league has already lost. The fans are only waiting to see whom are going to face relegation.
