EU starts its journey on permanent campus
The much awaited inauguration of the classes at the permanent campus of Eastern University (EU) came to reality as Abdullah Al Hasan Chowdhury, Additional Secretary (Universities), Ministry of Education declared the opening of classes at the permanent campus of Eastern University at Savar, Dhaka. Later, he visited the classes and highly appreciated the initiatives taken by the authorities of Eastern University to inaugurate classes at the Permanent Campus in compliance with the Ministry of Education and the University Grants Commission.
In the presence of hundreds of students and faculty members from all the departments of the university, members of the Board of Trustees, officials, and other staff members, the inauguration programme was turned into a festival for the decade old top-ranked private university.
Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Mesbah Uddin Ahmed announced that all modern facilities will be available for the students.
Vice Chancellor (Acting) Prof Dr Md Nurul Islam assured that the university will become one of the best seats of higher learning in the region with its continued commitment towards quality in education. Treasurer, deans of faculties, registrar, chairpersons, programme directors and other high officials also spoke on the occasion.
The inauguration program was held on the first of the several academic buildings of the university.
