BCL council likely on Mar 31, Apr 1

The 29th central council of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the ruling Awami League's student wing, is likely to be held on March 31 and April 1 to elect new leaders of the organisation.
The decision was made at an emergency meeting of BCL central executive committee held at Muzaffar Ahmed Chowdhury auditorium of Dhaka University (DU) on Friday morning.
BCL General Secretary SM Jakir Hossain said, "We have fixed council dates on March 31 and April 1".
"Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will be the chief guest at the BCL council programme." he said.
He further said, "We will let the Prime Minister know the council dates as soon as possible. If she agrees, the council will be held on March 31 and April 1".
BCL President Saifur Rahman Sohag said, "We held a meeting with all central leaders and instructed them to take preparations for holding organisation's central council".
The details of the central council, including the council dates of DU chapter and Dhaka north units will be announced at a press conference" he added.
