First mini artificial turf set up in Madaripur

A mini artificial turf was opened on Friday in Madaripur district of southern region, aimed at making players from remote areas.

Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan inaugurated the turf set up under the auspices of Asian Football Confederation.   

The mini artificial turf will create 50 players through three year long training arranged by Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF).

The speakers hoped that the trained 25 boys and 25 girls will contribute to national and international football.



Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) President Kazi Md Salahuddin attended the opening ceremony as chief discussant while the BFF Senior Vice-President Abdus Salam Murshedy was special guest.

Madaripur Football Association President Chowdhury Nurul Alam Babu presided over the ceremony.

Kazi Salauddin said such more mini turfs will be set up in future with a view to make more players from grassroots level.
