Robi provides free WiFi to 5 DU female halls

Robi, a leading digital mobile operator, on Monday inaugurated the high-speed WiFi internet service for five female residential halls of Dhaka University.
The facility will be available only for Robi users from today while another merged company airtel users will be benefited from Wednesday, said a press release.
Students of Ruqayyah, Shamsunnahar, Begum Fazilatunnesa Mujib, Bangladesh-Kuwait Maitryee, and Kobi Sufia Kamal Halls will be able to enjoy this facility round the clock from now on.
Robi’s Managing Director and CEO Mahtab Uddin Ahmed inaugurated the WiFi service at a conference Hall of Business Faculty at DU.
With chair Prof Shibli Rubayat Ul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business Studies, the inauguration ceremony was addressed by among other Prof Zeenat Huda, Provost, Ruqayyah Hall; Prof Zakia Parveen, Provost.
Robi’s Managing Director and CEO Mahtab Uddin Ahmed said, “When you are aiming to bring about changes in the society, you wouldn’t get better partners than the students of DU”.
He also said, "That’s why we felt we had to have them joining us in our mission to promote digital lifestyle and hence, today’s inauguration of the WiFi internet service."
“We will certainly take this movement to a wider student community within Dhaka University and beyond very soon.” he added.
