Five arrested for stealing oil from train in Natore

NATORE, Feb 13: The members of RAB-5  Natore Camp arrested five persons on Saturday night for stealing oil from  train and seized 1380 litre oil from a store house adjacent to Abdulpur Railway Junction under Lalpur Upazila of the district.
The arrested persons were identified as Hafizur Rahaman, 26, son of Jamshed Ali of village Goshaipur under Lalpur Upazila,  and his companion Shahed Ali, 24, son of Akbar Ali of village Pourbakanda of the upazila, Khadem Ali, 25, son of Polan Ali of Goshaipur, Mijanur Rahaman, 30, son of Abdus Sattar of the same area, and Akkas Ali, 39, son of Shahadot Hossain of village Arombaria under Ishwardi Upazila, Pabna.
Major Shibli Sadek of the camp confirmed the news, and said the members of the RAB camp conducted a drive at Abdulpur Railway Junction on Saturday night. During that time Shahed Ali, one of the member of the gang, was stealing oil from the engine of the Dhumketu Express train which was standing at the platform of the Abdulpur Railway Junction, and the members arrested him hand from there.
Later following Shahed's confession, another four members of the gang were arrested, and 1,380 litre oil was seized from their store while a Nasimon vehicle was also seized which was used to carry oil for selling it to different places.
