Two-day Nazrul Sangeet workshop begins at Barishal

A two-day Nazrul Sangeet workshop began at Barisal Charukala and City College campuses in the divisional city on Friday.

The programme has been arranged by Bangladesh Nazrul Sangeet Sangstha (BNSS) with association of Nazrul Sangskritik Jote, Barisal( NSJ) to spread original compositions and propagate the thematic aspects of Nazrul songs.

Eminent Nazrul singer Mahamudul Hasan, organizing secretary of BNSS, inaugurated the workshop and Md. Tanvir Hasan conducted the workshop.

In the inaugural session on Friday noon, Gopal Krishna Guha Ripon, NSJ secretary, Basudev Ghosh and Sushanta Ghosh addressed the program and Suvongker Chakrabarty presided over the inaugural program.

Fifty Nazrul singers from different areas of the city participated in the program to be concluded on Saturday.
