Attack on students at exam hall, 15 injured

Two teachers and 13 students were injured in an attack at an examination hall of Kutirhaat High school in Sarishabari upazila of Jamalpur on Tuesday.

Among the injured, teachers Tamannur Rahman and Azharul Islam; and students Mamunur Rsahid, Shohag Hossain, Razu, Shakil, Yunus, Yusuf, Abu Bakr, Shaheed and Shohag Hossain were rushed to the upazila health complex.

A group of miscreants, led by the school's governing body member Anwarul Islam Zulu swooped on the class X students during their test examination this morning, leaving 15 injured, alleged Abdul Zalil, head master of the school.

The attack took place following an altercation among two groups of students on Monday over a trifling matter, said Yunus, X grade student of the school.

Enamul Haque, sub-inspector of Sarishabari police station, confirmed the matter.
