2 hurt in petrol bomb attack on bus

Two women received burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack on a passenger bus in Shahjahanpur upazila of Bogura on Wednesday, just after the verdict in August 21 grenade attack cases.

Shahjahanpur police OC Zia Latiful said 10 miscreants threw petrol bombs at a bus of 'Nabil Paribahan' when it reached in Sajapur area at about 12:45pm.

Injured Munira Begum, 40, wife of Nazrul Islam in Jaldhaka of Niphamari, and Anjuara Begum,50, wife of Mozammel Haque in Sadar upazila of Bogura, were admitted to Bogura Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital.

Meanwhile, police arrested district Jubo Dal's assistant agricultural affairs secretary Noor Mohammad from the scene.

Bus driver Aslam Hossain said the miscreants first vandalised a truck and a bus and then threw petrol bomb at his bus.
