The number of Bangladeshi students applying for higher studies in United Kingdom in 2018 was higher than previous years.
Universities and Colleges Admissions Service (UCAS), a UK-based organization operates application process for British universities, showed this statistics on Thursday.
A good number of Bangladeshi students are now interested in higher education abroad, especially, in developed countries. But the most important things they lack are proper information and instructions.
Foreign Admission and Career Development Consultants Association of Bangladesh (FACD-CAB) has been organizing education expo for providing proper assistances to the students who are planning for studying abroad.
The fourth edition of the Premier Bank International Education Expo, the biggest education expo in the country, organized by FACD-CAB, is scheduled for on Saturday and Sunday at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Dhaka Hotel.
Organizers said the expo will provide many opportunities for the participants. Students will get chances to have conversations with agents of some of the renowned universities. There will be spot admission facility. Students might get opportunity for admission interview in presence of local representatives of the renowned universities.
The expo was organized for the first time in 2010. Second edition of the expo was held in 2017. The third edition was held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in last April.
Eminent educationists, teachers, students and guardians participated on last expo. Representatives from universities in Australia, United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Malaysia, China, Philippines and Nepal also participated in the expo.
Monirul Haque, member secretary of the expo organizing committee, said that 4,000 students participated in the 3rd education expo. They are expecting better responses in upcoming occasion.
