Poems by Shafiq Imtiaz
Rat race is going on in a hoax.
In an open field a giant horse is running unbridled
Bites every bit of peaceful existence.
The foundations of seemingly elevated structures
Are in the ultimate state of decline.
The world shivers; an indomitable fever
Captures all the avenues.
No rat knows he inhales to animate a robot only.
The Wavy Moon
The wavy moon flares upon the forest
I hear the plop on a thirsty river
Plunge my fingers into deep dark of solitude.
An obstinate passion climbs up the inner stairs
Combs the nook of my existence.
The phenomenal world suddenly loses its meaning
The moon unveils a horizon untold.
