BEGUMGANJ, NOAKHALI, Dec 5: More than 200 patients who were affected with cold-related diseases have been admitted to 50-Bed Upazila Health Complex in the last one week.
While visiting the health complex on Tuesday morning, it was found that many elderly and child patients have been admitted there. Most of them are suffering from cold, cough and asthma.
Every day, new patients are coming to the health complex. Some are leaving the hospital after taking first aid while some are getting admitted there.

Many patients have taken shelter on the hospital's floor as there are not sufficient beds. Besides at the children's ward, the hospital authority is providing treatment at emergency and outdoor sections too.
Resident Medical Officer (RMO) of the health complex Dr Asim Kumar said people get affected with various diseases in winter. If the patients are not admitted timely, it may worsen the situation.
"If necessary, we admit patients here. We try to provide treatment as per our level," the RMO added.
