Eight district judges and officials of equivalent ranks were transferred and given new postings in the latest reshuffle in lower judiciary on Tuesday. The Law Ministry took the decision after consultation with the Supreme Court, according to a PID handout. Member of Dhaka Customs, Excise and VAT appellate tribunal Nurul Islam Khan has been attached to the Law Ministry while Faridpur District and Sessions Judge Anwarul Haque has been transferred to Barisal District and Sessions Judges' court. Registrar of International Crimes Tribunal AKM Nasiruddin Mahmud has been transferred to Chittagong District and Sessions Judges Court while Satkhira District and Sessions Judge Obaidus Sobhan to Chittagong Metropolitan Sessions Court. Natore District and Sessions Judge Zahidul Islam has been transferred to Faridpur District and Sessions Judges Court. Bagerhat District and Sessions Judge SM Solaiman has been made Jhalakati District and Sessions Judge; Rangpur special judge Rabiul Hasan made Meherpur District and Sessions Judge; and Pabna Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Shafiqul Islam made Director (Training) of Judicial Administrative Training Institute (on deputation). ?UNB
