A moderate earthquake has been felt across the country including capital Dhaka.

An official at the Dhaka Meteorological Department at Agargaon in the capital said the tremor measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale was felt around 03:28pm on Tuesday.

There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.

The epicentre of the tremor was near the Indian-Myanmar border, some 335 km east of Dhaka, the official at the Met Office further said.
