Canadian High Commissioner in Dhaka Heather Cruden on Friday greeted Bangladeshis on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and specially those who performed hajj on Friday. "As Muslims around the world celebrate Eid-ul-Azha and millions of pilgrims undertake the annual hajj, it's my pleasure to convey my warmest greetings to the Bangladeshis marking this special holiday," she said in a message on behalf of the Canadian government. Cruden said the festival of sacrifice commemorates the Prophet Ibrahim's supreme sacrifice as an act of his unwavering faith in the Almighty. ?UNB
