KUSHTIA: Awami League joint general secretary Mahbub-ul-Alam Hanif has said the BNP gets involved in hatching conspiracy after being bankrupt politically.

"They (BNP) are looking for the paths of conspiracy. People across the country have celebrated Puja and Eid in a very cordial atmosphere. In spite of it, Mirza Fakhrul has found problems," he said while exchanging views with the party leaders and activists at his residence in Kushtia on Tuesday afternoon.

Hanif said the people have great faith in the present government. So, no movement against the government would be successful. "Both BNP leaders and Begum Khaleda Zia are well aware of it. They don't have the capacity of launching a movement," he said.

The Awami League leader said the BNP's movement would never see the light. "So, we don't need to take any preparation to face their movement.

Hanif said the BNP leaders are now facing only one problem, which is the crisis of their existence. People's faith about BNP is now at the lowest ebb. As a result, many leaders are leaving the BNP-led alliance. Many are also deserting BNP.
"BNP is now on the verge of collapse," he said.
