Combined Islamic parties called a countrywide dawn to dusk hartal for Sunday, demanding an arrest and exemplary punishment for the former posts, telecommunications and information technology minister Latif Siddique for his remarks on hajj and Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).Zafrullah Khan, secretary general of the alliance announced the hartal at a press conference held at Jatiya Press Club in the capital on Wednesday.
Earlier, Islamic parties threatened that they will observe hartal on October 26 if the government will not arrest former minister Latif Siddique by October 22.
