Speakers at a city discussion on Thursday stressed the necessity of National CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) Guideline in Bangladesh like the neighbours.
The discussion on CSR organised by the Planning Commission in the capital included the detailed process of the development of the CSR Guideline.
Two committees named "Guideline Advisory Board" and "Guideline Development Committee" will be formed for steering the process.
The CSR Centre, a non-governmental organisation working for people, communities and the natural environment, and the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangladesh proposed guidelines.
Chief Executive Officer of the CSR Centre Shahamin S. Zaman shared a presentation on the process and Plan of Action for developing the National CSR Guideline for Bangladesh.
The Planning Ministry in partnership with CSR Centre and the Royal Danish Embassy in Bangladesh will coordinate the process.
