BNP Standing Committee member ASM Hannan Shah has commented that BNP does not properly evaluate the efficient leaders.
The senior BNP leader made the comment while addressing a memorial meeting and doa mahfil marking the 13th anniversary of death of BNP leader Akhter Ahmed Siddiqui on Thursday afternoon.
?Akhter Ahmed prepared the main roadmap of the anti-Ershad movement. President Ziaur Rahman nominated him to take part in the election. But, his works were not evaluated later,? he said. He also expressed dissatisfaction for not forming any committee of Juba Dal and Chhatra Dal in his district for last 12 and 18 years respectively.?The same situation is prevailing in every district,? he added.
The BNP standing committee member said the government would not be able to retain power indefinitely despite getting certificates from abroad.
BNP joint secretary general Salahuddin Ahmed, BNP chairperson's adviser journalist Shawkat Mahmud and journalist Ruhul Amin Gazi, among others, also spoke at the meeting, chaired by Jahanara Siddique, the convener of Afsar Uddin Ahmed Memorial Foundation.
