Following the Prime Minister’s denial of holding any dialogue with BNP over the next parliamentary elections, Mirza Fakhrul expressed his determination at a press conference at BNP’s Gulshan office on Friday.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at a press conference at her official residence Ganabhaban in the capital on Thursday ruled out the possibility of any dialogue and said : "Why should we sit with those who maintain constant relation with the killers? Why do they insist on talks? We don't intend to hold any dialogue with the killers."
“Awami League thinks itself unparallel. So, they never refrain from dishonouring the politicians like Dr Kamal Hossain, Quader Siddique or Badruddoza Chowdhury,” alleged Mirza Fakhrul.
He also commented that the Awami League is not responding to the BNP’s call for dialogue due mainly to its “undemocratic mentality.”
Mentioning the January 5 elections illegal, the senior BNP leader said, “Foreign countries did not recognize the Sheikh Hasina’s government as they did not get people’s mandate. This election only created crisis inside the country.”
