Taking a swipe at Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina for his recent comments BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, Acting Secretary General of the party Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has said, “The PM is living in a house of cards which has no foundation at all.”
“At first, you (Prime Minister) think of yourself. Look at yourself. All the people moved away far from you,” said the senior BNP leader.
Mirza Fakhrul came up with the remarks while addressing a discussion organized on occasion of the second death anniversary of language veteran Oli Ahad at the National Press Club on Saturday.
Claiming that the country is now in severe crisis, Fakhrul also said, “The country did no face such a big crisis in past. Awami League have
created all these after taking power in the name of democracy.”
Regarding the PM’s Friday’s comment that there is no ground under the BNP Chairperson’s feet, Fakhrul said that rather Sheikh Hasina is losing public support.“Look at the eyes of people. If you see, then you can understand that they have no love for you.”
Former Vice-chancellor of Dhaka University Professor Emaj Uddin Ahmed presided over the discussion organized by Oli Ahad Smriti Parishad.
