The Speaker said members of parliament here have the opportunity to play significant role on various social matters like reducing of mother and child mortality rate, establishing gender parity and ensuring women empowerment.
She said the county has necessary laws to protect child marriage and curbing violence against women. Side by side imposing the laws, mass awareness is needed to resolve such kind of social awareness, Choudhury observed.
