
The Law Minister made the disclosure at a press briefing at his own office at Gulshan in the capital in the afternoon.
Anisul Haque said according to the jail code, the counting of seven days will start from the moment when the convict hears that his appeal petition has been rejected and his death penalty order holds.
He also said Kamaruzzaman can seek president’s clemency confessing his all crimes as per constitutional provisions.
