India, Nepal, Bhutan envoys visit Banglabandha land port

The envoys of India, Nepal and Bhutan in Dhaka visited Banglabandha land port in Tentulia upazila of Panchagarh district on Tuesday to highlight the importance of sub-regional cooperation in the areas of trade, transit, border infrastructure and connectivity.

This is first ever visit of its kind by Indian High Commissioner Pankaj Saran, Bhutanese Ambassador Pema Choden and Nepalese Ambassador Hari Kumar Shrestha.

Panchgarh deputy commissioner Mohammad Salahuddin, 18 BGB acting commander ATM Nazmul Huda and police super Abul Kalam Azad welcomed the three envoys on their arrival through Fulbari in India at about 10am.

Earlier, the heads of the three diplomatic missions visited Burimari land port in Lalmonirhat, Phuentsholing of Bhutan and Kakarvitta of Nepal
