Hearing on the leave to appeal filed by BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia against the High Court (HC) order in connection with Zia Orphanage Trust graft case, continued for the third consecutive day on Wednesday at the Appellate Division (AD) of the Supreme Court (SC).
The five- member bench of the AD headed by Chief Justice Md. Muzammel Hossain stayed the hearing till Thursday (today).
Attorney General Mahbubey Alam moved on behalf of the state and Advocate Khurshid Alam Khan for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) while Advocate Joynul Abedin and AJ Mohammad Ali for Khaleda Zia.

A revision petition was filed with the HC challenging legality of framing charges against Khaleda Zia and others on April 13 and the HC rejected the petition on April 23.
Khaleda Zia filed the leave to appeal against the HC verdict.
