BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia sat in a meeting with top leaders of her party-led 20-party alliance tonight (Saturday night) to work out their next course of action and finalise their decisive movement strategy.

The meeting began around 9:15pm at the BNP chairperson’s Gulshan office.

Earlier, she sat with her party’s advisers on November 10, while with vice-chairmen and joint secretaries general the following day and standing committee members on November 13.

Party sources said Khaleda is expected to discuss with the alliance leaders the country’s overall political situation, work out their movement strategy and finalise the next action programmes to force the government to hold snap polls under a non-party administration.

She may talk to the alliance leaders about her party’s plan to form a platform with all other political parties outside the 20-party coalition for waging a simultaneous anti-government movement.

The BNP chairperson has been on a countrywide mass campaign to drum up public support in favour of the 20-party’s demand for a fresh inclusive election under a non-party administration. Her mass campaign will end with her visit to Comilla on November 29.
