SUST, Nov 24: The admission into the honours first year first semester courses of Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (SUST) under 2014-15 academic year is scheduled to begin from Tuesday.
Member Secretary of SUST Admission Committee Associate Prof Faruque Uddin confirmed the information.
According to the schedule, admission from 1 to 400 in the merit list under unit 'B' (Group-1) will be held on the first day (November 25) while from 401 to the last number in the list under the same unit and group and those from the merit list of Group-2, Group-3, Group-4 and quota of unit 'B' will take place on November 26.
Students have to bring four copies of recently-taken attested color photos, main copies and two copies of attested SSC and HSC or equivalent examinations' mark sheets and testimonials, and Tk 6,000 for the admission, informed Prof Faruque. For admission under the quota, students have to bring main copy of certificates for proving the respective quota eligibility, he added.

SUST Registrar (Acting) Zubayer Ahmed Chawdhury said that a letter inscribing request for deployment of additional police force on the campus was submitted to the Sylhet Metropolitan Police Commissioner to avert any untoward situation during the admission.
