The International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-1 today asked journalists, covering the court proceedings, to be more sensible and responsible.
The first tribunal came up with the view while criticizing journalists, especially the ones from TV channels, for their yesterday's mistake as most of them reported that the tribunal will pronounce judgement on the trial of Mobarak tomorrow, even before the tribunal's order in this regard.
"We have learned that some journalists from television channels made breaking news on today's judgement even before our order, only by seeing the matter on the cause list. Some people's power of senses is very sharp but none should do anything that can challenge the authority and the jurisdiction of the court," said Justice M Enayetur Rahim.
"Even today, we saw a newspaper report, where concerned reporter said the judgement will be pronounced at 11am sharp. How can he tell that? Journalists, covering the proceedings of the court should be more sensible and responsible," tribunal added. ?BSS
