Munshiganj: A school-girl has been raped at Srinagar in Munshiganj. The girl who reads in Class IX has been raped by a studio owner after she went to his shop for laminating a certificate.Police arrested rapist Raju Matbar, 24 who is the owner of the studio, and his associate Shahabuddin, 28 at about 9pm on Monday.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Nargis Islam of Munshiganj court recorded the statement of the girl early Monday afternoon at her room.
The raped girl reads in Class IX at Kazi Fazlul Huq High School at Baghra. On Sunday evening, her grandfather filed a case against studio owner Raju Matbar and his two employees--Imran and Shahabuddin--with Srinagar Police Station alleging their involvement in the rape incident.
The three accused hail from Kathalbari area under the upazila.
The arrested Raju Matbar and Shahabuddin were sent to jail through court at about 5pm on Monday.
Srinagar Police Station officer-in-charge Mujibur Rahman said the girl went for laminating her Class V certificate to Raju Studio at Amin Bazat at about 11am on Sunday. At that time, the studio owner Raju Matbar forcibly raped the girl with the help of his two employees.
