Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has urged BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to refrain from holding meetings late at night.

Replying to questions of journalists at a press conference at her official residence Ganabhaban in the capital on Friday afternoon, she asked Khaleda Zia, "Stop holding meetings late at night. It's better to stop going to somewhere else late at night. Why do you hold meetings late at night secretly?"

Regarding about the punitive measures against the senior government officials for attending the meeting with Khaleda Zia, the Prime Minister said, "Law will take its own course. If any government official found violated service rules, stern action will be taken against him."

When asked about her reaction regarding the BNP's movement, the premier said, "They have been pushing my government down everyday. Even, they are blowing my hair in the name of movement."

It may be mentioned that BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia held a meeting with senior government officials along with some former secretaries at her Gulshan political office in the capital on Thursday night. The news of the meeting was published in newspapers. However, in a statement, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir termed the news as "false, fabricated and motivated."
