A human skeleton was recovered by police from beneath the earth at Uttara in the capital on Friday. Uttara police recovered the skeleton at about 2.30pm.
Sub-Inspector Zafar Iqbal of Uttara (West) Police Station said the labourers were diging the earth for construction of a house at a vacant point at No. 58, Road No. 4, Sector 5 Uttara in the capital. At one stage of the digging work, they found the human skeleton and informed the police about it.

Receiving information, police went to the spot and sent the skeleton to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.

The SI further said a black-coloured blazer and light navy blue jeans pant were found with the skeleton. "After witnessing the type and size of the dresses, we think that the skeleton would be of a 35-year-old man," he said.
