MAGURA, Dec 19: The Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mohammadpur police station in Magura Sheikh Matiur Rahman has been closed to Magura police line for his alleged failure in maintainig law and order situation in the upazila.
Different sources said the law and order situation in the upazila deteriorated sharply in last four months after he joined as the OC of the police station.
On contact, the Superintendent of Police (SP) in Magura Mohammad Zihadul Kabir, however, said that not for failure to maintain law and order situation but for improvement of it, the OC has been closed.
Atiar Rahman has joined as the new OC of the police station, the SP added.
