BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia reached at Bakshibazar makeshift court in the capital on Wednesday noon in connection with Zia Orphanage and Zia Charitable Trust graft cases.

Khaleda Zia appeared before the newly appointed Judge of Special Judge Court-3 Abu Ahmed Jamadar around 12:25pm.

Judge Abu Ahmed Jamadar is set to record statements of the witnesses in the corruption cases.

On Dec 18, the law ministry transferred Judge Basudeb Roy to the Patuakhali Special Judge's Court and appointed Jamadar.

The BNP chief last appeared on Nov 9 before the court but had skipped several dates since then.

Khaleda Zia has been accused of embezzling more than Tk 50 million when she was the prime minister of Bangladesh.
