DINAJPUR, Dec 31: About 90.10 per cent students who appeared in Junior School Certificate (JSC) examination passed this year under Dinajpur Education Board, sources said.
The result of JSC was announced through a press conference held at conference room of the board on Tuesday morning.
At least 1, 75,810 students passed out of 1, 95,127 students appeared from 3,017 educational institutes in the eight northern districts.
At least 14,420 students attain GPA-5. Of them, 7, 229 students were male while 7,191 were female students.
Examination Controller of Dinajpur Education Board Md Tofazzur Rahman said, the pass percentage this year improved a bit in comparison with the last 3 years, but the number of GPA-5 holders has decreased. Last year, total number of recipients of GPA-5 was 15,836 while 14,420 students attained GPA-5 this year.
Cent percent students from 829 educational institutes under the education board passed while none of the students appeared from 8 educational institutes passed the examination.
