A trader was slaughtered at a seven-storied building in city’s Tejgaon area on Saturday afternoon.

Dead Kalu, 37, was a trader of raw materials.

Tejgaon thana OC Mazharul Islam said one Munna called Kalu at a room on the sixth floor of 87, East Tejturipara in the afternoon and slaughetered him.

On information, police rushed to the scene and recovered the body.

They also detained Munna in this connection.

OC Mazharul Islam said Munna killed the trader as the latter did not pay Tk 2 lakh earlier borrowed from him.
