
Preparations have already been completed for smoothly holding the convocation.
Australian lawyer Prof Francis Gurry who served as the Director General of World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO) will deliver his speech as the Convocation Speaker. President Abdul Hamid, also the chancellor of the university, will preside over the convocation.
About 20 MPhil researchers, 42 PhD researchers and 49 MD MS would be conferred degrees at the convocation. A total of 29 students will also receive gold medals for their outstanding results.
Besides, some 6,080 students -- 2717 males and 3360 females --will attain their graduation certificates at the programme.
The gate will open at 9:30am to enter the convocation venue while President Abdul Hamid will arrive at 11:55am and the convocation will formally begin at 12 noon.
Cabinet members, MPs and diplomats, among others, will attend the convocation.
