
Khaleda made the announcement at a press conference at her Gulshan office in the evening.
Terming the current situation a political crisis, she urged the government to take initiatives to resolve it.
The BNP-led 20-party alliance enforced the nationwide blockade since January 5 demanding a fresh election under a non-party caretaker government.
During the ongoing blockade, over 25 people have been killed violence. And most of the victims are innocent.
BNP chairperson alleged that the government is unleashing violence to confuse the people on the peaceful movement of BNP-led alliance.
Khaleda asked the alliance leaders and activists to intensify the movement until the government is compelled to accept their demand.
Before the press briefing she discussed with the senior leaders of BNP about the latest political situation in the country and the next course of their programmes at her Gulshan office.
Among others, BNP Standing Committee member R A Gani, Lt Gen (retd) Mahbubur Rahman, Barrister Moudud Ahmed and Nazrul Islam Khan were present.
