Online voice and messaging services of five popular applications-- Viber, Tango, WhatsApp, Mypeople and Line-- have resumed after the bar was lifted.
The government lifted the bar from the five applications early Thursday.
Users started receiving full services of Viber and WhatsApp from 12:15am.
On January 17, Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) blocked Viber and Tango on security ground.
Later on January 19, three more services –WhatsApp, Mypeople and Line – were blocked on the same ground.
