NARAIL, Jan 24: Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor on Saturday said the current spate of violence has no relation with politics as it is being carried out by 'hired goons'. "Those who are instigating the movement are not dying, but innocent people are getting killed every day," he said while speaking as the chief guest at an exchange of opinion meeting after visiting Lohagara Ram Narayana Public Library in the district. The minister said the BNP-Jamaat is killing bus and truck drivers, teachers and children with petrol bombs in the name of blockade and hartal at a time when the government is taking the country forward. He said the BNP would have to wait for more four years for election. Noor said the process of developing a digital Bangladesh is underway under the leadership of Prime minister Sheikh Hasina. The country will upgrade into a middle income country by 2021, he added. Presided over by Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Moktar Hossain, the meeting on Lohagara Pilot School premises was also addressed by Advocate Sheikh Hafizur Rahman, MP, Narail Deputy Commissioner A Gaffar Khan, District Council Administrator Advocate Subash Chandra Bose and local Awami League leaders Sikdar Abdul Hannan and Syed Faizul Amir Litu. ?BSS
