BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia's adviser Mosaddek Ali Falu was placed on a fresh three-day remand by the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court in Dhaka on Saturday in a case filed by Badda police under the Explosive Substance Act.
Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Mahbubur Rahman passed the remand order Saturday afternoon.
The investigation officer (IO) of the case and also SI of Badda Police Station Md Zahed Noor produced Falu before his court with a plea to grant a ten-day remand. His counsels Advocate Masud Ahmed Talukhder and Advocate Sanaullah Miah opposed the IO's prayer and pleaded before the court to cancel the remand plea.
The BNP leader has been shown arrested in a case relating to recovery of two cocktails from Pragati Sarani in Badda on February 1.
