
He made the claim while talking to journalists at his Secretariat office here on Tuesday.
The junior minister also said that a probe-body with a joint secretary as its head would be formed to investigate the incident.
“It is a big hospital where some 2,000 patients are provided with treatment daily. Usually, 12-15 people die here everyday. We’ve come to know that some critically injured people got admitted at the hospital after a clash while some were rushed dead, thus rose the number of deaths,” he said.
Clarifying the cause of the 32 deaths, DG of the Health Directorate Deen Mohammad said, four children died due to birth complexities, three for malnutrition and blood infection one for worm and two for diarrhoea and pneumonia.
Among the adult deaths, five were killed in a clash, four died of brain stroke, five of cardiac arrest and the rest 22 of diabetes, anemia and accidents, he added.
