2 cattle traders killed in BSF firing along Jhenidah border

Jhenidah : Two cattle traders were shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel along Lebutala border in Moheshpur upazila early Wednesday.

The dead were identified as Aminur Rahman, 28, son of Miaraj of Jululi village, and Foyez Ahmed, 32, son of Shahadat Hossain of Lebutala village, in Moheshpur upazila.

Another trader Abul Quashem of Shyamkur village in the same upazila received bullet injuries. He was admitted to Jessore Medical College Hospital.

Jululi BGB commander subedar Jahangir said BSF troops of Kashipur camp in Uttar 24 Pargona fired on a group of cattle traders in the morning when they were entering into Bangladesh with their cattle-heads cutting the barbed wire fence. 

Aminur and Foyez were killed on the spot and .. received bullet injuries in the shooting, he said.

The bodies are still lying on Indian land till filing of this report at 11am.

BGB is initiating to hold a flag meeting to bring back the bodies, said subedar Jahangir.
