LAXMIPUR, Feb 13: Police arrested three terrorists after they were injured following a gunfight between police and Jisan Bahini, a terrorist gang, at No. 2 Bridge area on Chandraganj-Chatkhil road under Laxmipur Sadar upazila early Friday. Police also recovered one pipegun, one LG and four rounds of bullet from the spot.
The arrested Md Shahidul Islam, 27, Md Sohel Mahmud, 25, and Imam Hosen, 24, have been admitted to Laxmipur Sadar upazila.
Police and local sources said on secret information that armed members of Jisan Bahini gathered at the said area, police conducted a drive. Sensing police presence terrorists fired gunshots at law enforcers, while police retaliated by gunfire which triggered a gunfight and the three terrorists were injured. Later, police arrested them with the said arms and ammunition.
