BNP Senior Vice Chairman Selima Rahman on Sunday claimed that their party Chairperson Khaleda Zia has been ignoring heavy food for the last five days being upset over the 'disruption of food supply' to her office for party leaders, office staff and security personnel.
Talking to reporters in front of the main gate of the office, Selima said Khaleda Zia is not taking heavy food as she cannot do that leaving others in her office unfed.
She said the BNP chief is not showing interest in taking anything as food supply for all others staying inside the office has been stopped by the law enforcers. "We're convincing her to take juice and fruits.  She's not taking heavy food showing her sympathy to the starving party leaders, office staff and others."
Selima, who along with Mohila Dal general secretary Shirin Sultana has been staying with the BNP chief in her office since January-3, also alleged that the government is spreading lies over food supply to the BNP chief's Gulshan office.
Meanwhile, food and fresh water supply to the BNP chairperson's office for her party leaders, office staff and security personnel remained disrupted for the fifth consecutive day on Sunday due to reported obstruction by law enforcers.
A plainclothes police deployed in front of the office blocked a rickshaw as it arrived there with 30 packets of cooked food and bottled water around 2:15pm on Sunday. ?UNB
