BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia and 13 other party leaders and activists have been charged in a criminal case lodge in connection with Monday's crude bomb attack on a procession led by the Shipping Minister Shajahan Khan at Gulshan 2 in capital. Assistant Police (AC) Commissioner (Gulshan Zone) Nurul Alam, told The Daily Observer a labour leader, Ismail Hossain Bachchu, filed the case with Gulshan Police Station on Monday night accusing Khaleda of masterminding the attack, The case accused Khaleda and others of attack, attempt to murder, terrorism and bomb explosions, he said. BNP Vice Chairmen Selima Rahman and Hafiz Uddin Ahmed, Khaleda's advisor Khandaker Mahbub Hossain were accused among other BNP leaders.
