Talking to the media on Friday Mashrafe said, "We are not looking for one point. This is a negative thinking. We are preparing us to play the full match. Besides we do not want to play curtail-over match. In curtail-over it is hard to fix the team combination."
The Tigers leader also said, "Nobody knows what will happen in a full-over match. Of course we are thinking positive. We are disappointed seeing the rain. We could not take preparation as it needed. Australia are used to play in this condition. They will not face a much trouble if they do not practice on field. It will better for us if we could practice batting and bowling in net today (Friday)."
The Norail Express does not think about win or loss. He only wants the result playing the match saying, "We still want to play the match. Win or loss is a part of a match and it will be better if the result comes playing the match. If we can play the match, this experience will help us to play the next big matches."
Relaying on the new comers Mashrafe said, "All are excited to play the tournament like this. New comers are looking forward to play better. The feeling of playing here is totally different. All are ready to play better. Winning the first match we became mentally strong."
Except Shakib no one have the experience to play in Gabba but Tigers skipper believe that they can cope up with the condition. He said, "Basically we have no experience in Gabba. Without Shakib no one played here. We do not have the team meeting too. We can know from him (Shakib). We generally know there will be bounce. I believe we can cope-up."
If Clarke come to the team there will be a problem in team Australia regarding captaincy. Is that a positive sign for us? Answering the question Mashrafe said, "In this match all things are in our favour. We have nothing to loss. If we can play our best, we do not need to be concern about who will play or not in their team."
"We came here with a goal. To make it happen we all are working hard. 16 core people of the country are looking to us. The expatriate Bangladeshis are supporting us after we came here. Seeing the huge supporter in Canberra we did not think we were playing outside the country. I am sure that there will be same supporters here. It is a different feeling to have a huge support while you come to play in abroad. We are applauded seeing them. We want to do better for them," said Mashrafe getting the huge support from the expatriate Bangladeshis.
