Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday expressed profound shock at the demise of former Awami League
Advisory Council member Cyril Sikder.
Cyril Sikder, also the former leader of Bangladesh Hindu-Buddha-Christian Oikya Parishad and former Ambassador of
Bangladesh to Nepal, breathed his last at his Farmgate residence in the city on Sunday due to old-age complications. He was 77.
He left behind wife, one son, three daughters and a host of admirers to mourn his death.
The Prime Minister prayed for the salvation of the departed soul and expressed her sympathy to the bereaved family members.
