CHITTAGONG, Feb 27: Police recovered 17 petrol and 16 crude bombs, 2 kg gunpowder and 4 kg other bomb-making elements from the port city's Bandar area on Friday night. The law enforcers also arrested a young man, Imran, 25, in this regard. Further details about the arrestee are still awaited. Tipped off, a team of Bandar Police Station conducted a drive at an abandoned house near Barrister Sultan Ahmed Chowdhury College in the area around 8:30pm, said officer-in-charge of the police station Zahidul Islam. During the drive, the law enforcers recovered the bombs and bomb-making materials, he said. They also arrested Imran suspecting his involvement in stocking those items. ?UNB
