Court orders to search Khaleda’s Gulshan office

Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Sunday issued an order to search the Gulshan office of BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia where she has been staying since January 3.

The court issued the order in the afternoon in connection with a case filed with Gulshan thana on Sunday under Explosives Substance Act.

Dhaka District Shramik League general secretary Ismail Hossain Bachchu filed the case against 14 BNP leaders including Khaleda Zia for blasting cocktails at a procession, led by Shipping Minister Shahjahan Khan, in Gulshan area on February 16 that left six people injured.

The other accused of the case are : BNP vice chairmen Selima Rahman and Hafizuddin Ahmed, joint secretaries general Salahuddin Ahmed and Shirin Sultana, Khaleda's special assistant Adv Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, press secretary Maruf Kamal Khan, SCBA president Khandker Mahbub Hossain, Humayun Kabir, MA Quayyum, Dewan Salahuddin, Mostafa, Mamun and Manik.
